I would have to go back and check my notes, I went to the Delaware County PA historical society and did research....but I believe I saw there was some kind of fire in a barn which destroyed Henry's crops. It was recorded in a newspaper at the time and there was a reference in a book I was looking at and I copied it. I believe this fire was what resulted in his failure and subsequent loss of the farm. I also saw, an advertisment for the auction of all Henry Permar's farm possessions at a Brinton Farm after Henry's death. The Permars were friends with the Brintons. There's a family connection to them with my family line. I learned from my research that everyone was very close in this old Quaker community of Concordville, Delaware County, PA.
